Changing Lanes and Grains: Renovo turns timber into smooth-riding bikes

InterBike, the cycling industry’s biggest U.S. event, showcases all forms of cycling — and a world of materials used to create bikes. Bamboo continues to elevate its presence but Portand-based Renovo stands tall with hardwoods, favoring them for shock and vibration dampening. With only one exception, the company doesn’t stain the wood as it hollows out frame blanks to land at four to five pounds. Active Junky was entranced by every category including road, mountain, commuting and adventure models. Learn more by cruising over to renovobikes.com.
