“Green Growth” in France: Country-wide ban of plastic dishware

Five years from now, when picnicking in the French countryside, your basket won’t include plastic dishware. Beginning in 2020, France is implementing a country-wide ban on all disposable plastic: cups, plates, forks and more. This progressive albeit-controversial ban gives manufacturers three years to create disposable options that are at least 50% compostable.
