Kelly Slater and The World’s Best Man-Made Wave

The most decorated surfer of our time, Kelly Slater has been revolutionizing the world of waves for longer than most surfers have been alive. On the wake of De Souza winning the world championship yesterday, Kelly released this short clip of what he calls, “the best wave that anyone’s ever made.”

Apparently, Kelly Slater Wave Company has been on this mission for the past decade. Now that they’ve got the wave dialed – as demonstrated by the man himself in this tantalizing flick – Kelly & Co. are ready to roll out the details to the public.

Kelly puts it best, calling the wave a “freak of technology.” We can’t wait to see what this “freak” means for the world of surfing, especially for those surfers stuck hours from the coast.
