When packing for a boat trip saving space is key, that’s why we love the Detour Camp Kitchen line from Sea To Summit. River season is upon us and for the first float of the year we took to our backyard river, the Yampa for a little early season floating and fishing. Sea to Summit provided the cookware for a primo riverside lunch.
Sea to Summit Detour Stainless Steel One Pot Cook Set Starting at: $175.96
We’ve been big fans on Sea To Summit’s backpacking line of collapsible cookware for years taking them across continents. Naturally we were stoked to try out this slightly burlier stainless steel version. We love the stainless steel cookset for car camping or raft trips where you want to get a little ambitious with your cooking, but still have a space saving design. After a morning on the river we pulled over to a nice rocky beach to cook up some nice steaks and enjoy the sunshine after a long cold winter in Northwest Colorado. Cold beers in the included cups and pan seared steaks will be a riverside lunch we won’t soon forget.
Sea to Summit Detour Stainless Steel Cutlery Set Starting at: $57.16
A good cutlery set is often overlooked in a camp setting. Sea to Summit makes sure you won’t be eating your culinary concoctions with flimsy plastic forks and knives. This high quality set is sturdy and packs well. The knife cut through our steaks like butter and the fork acted as make shift tongs while cooking due to a packing mishap. The silicone holder keeps these together and free from rattling around when traveling.
