Teva De La Vina Low

Construction of waterproof leather and canvas lining give these winter boots a sturdy feel. And the rubber outsole has amazing purchase as you travel over slick sidewalks and rocky creek beds. The water resistance is solid, but with a fairly wide opening at the calf a downpour might be a bit of a pain. They slip-on and zip-up with ease making these great for running out quickly. The sturdy construction offered support over the miles, but also enough cushion in the insole to make the miles comfortable.

The De La Vina Lows have suede detailing and buckle and strap accents to amp up the style. If you intend to wear thicker socks, we recommend going up a half size, but they work well for our testers with thin to average sock sizing. Teva also makes the De La Vina Low in a weathered brown and offers tall and ankle styles in their line-up as well.

Field Notes: When splashing through puddles and creeks, these winter boots can hold their own. The only weak point is the zipper, and it takes a lot before it starts to let water seep in. These casual boots look like they were built for the road, so that’s where we tested them out; on an adventurous road trip exploring the back roads of the northwestern United States. They took a beating kicking around dirty campgrounds, dusty gas stations, and even a sticky dive bar or two, but were no worse for wear by the end of it. 

Tester Comments: “I took the Teva De La Vina Lows on a road trip exploring back roads and camping along the way. They were put through the ringer of dirt, dust, and mud. They hadn’t been photographed yet, and I was a little worried I had taxed them past the point of show ready return. However, I took a wet rag to them and they looked good as new. Even the suede detailing polished right up.”
