DPS Skis: The Weight of Winter

The Weight of Winter, the first short film from DPS Skis’ The Shadow Campaign: Volume II, just went live. Filmed in pow skiers’ fantasy land of Hokkaido, Japan, the snow is deep, the turns are blower and the stoke is high.

Stephan Drake (AKA the freeskiing founder of DPS), Piers Solomon and Santiago Guzman slash through mystical Japanese hillsides; sometimes the only splash of color cutting through a blizzard-white frame. Slow-mo pow shots and shreddable pillows are sure to make any skier salivate. 

Of course, we expect nothing less from the DPS team, especially in Japan. With a lineup of some of the best pow skis in the business – from the scoopy Spoon to the beloved, all-terrain slaying Wailer – DPS manufactures the ski of choice for many a powder hound.
