GoPro Drops Incredible New Line of Products

GoPro may have outdone themselves… again. Today, they announced the release of the HERO5, HERO5 Session, and the all new drone, Karma. 

GoPro HERO5 Black

The all new HERO5 Black comes with some significant updates over the HERO4 Black. Now waterproof to 33 feet with no external housing means easier to use and cleaner audio capture. Also new to the Black Edition of the GoPro is the 2-inch touch display that allows you to preview and play back shots as well as change setting in a completely redesigned user interface that is much easier to navigate quickly. One of the biggest new features is the addition of Voice Control. Much like Siri on your iPhone, you can now simply say “GoPro, take a photo.” And it will snap a picture. Advanced Video Stabilization has been added as well to give you smoother, more professional looking shots straight out of the camera. At $399.99 this new camera is a must have for any filmmaker. 

GoPro HERO5 Session

The 2nd Generation of the Session, the HERO5 Session, got a major upgrade and now shoots 4k video and 10MP photos. It also includes Advanced Video Stabilization as well as the Voice Control found in the HERO5 Black. The small size and durability make this a take anywhere, do anything camera for just $299.99.

GoPro Karma

The biggest announcement is the new GoPro drone, Karma. After an incredible amount of hype leading up to the release, it seems that GoPro may have delivered. In what they are calling “More than a drone,” The Karma’s gimbal is removable allowing you to use it with the new Karma grip so you can create incredibly smooth footage on the ground, whether that is hand held or mounted using normal GoPro mounts. All of this in a compact backpack that allows you to take the Karma anywhere without thinking twice. Starting at $799.99 and compatible with HERO4 Black and Silver cameras, this new drone just made those dreamy aerial shots a lot more accessible.
