Forget what the name implies. The Black Snowboard of Death is friendlier underfoot than most all-mountain snowboards on the market. It does just about everything; testers maneuvered this beast through extreme terrain of all creeds, stomping airs both in and out of the park. And for a board meant to destroy anything in its path, it floats with surprising elegance through powder. Featuring rocker in the enlarged nose, camber between the feet and a flat tail, the tapered shape adds agility and maneuverability in deep snow and feels a lot like surfing. Capita designed the BSOD to be fast and to spring in and out of turns, so charging hard and whipping through bumps can go hand in hand. Although the lightweight build and flex pattern rattled at breakneck speeds, testers said the Black Snowboard of Death inspired confidence all over the mountain. “Supportive and comfortable on every pitch,” one Colorado tester said. “I couldn’t find anything this board didn’t charge through,” said another.
