Ride Candy: New bike models look good standing still

At the bike industry’s largest U.S. gathering, InterBike, it’s good the bike brands on display don’t hit the attendee’s credit cards based purely upon second looks. Active Junky had to exhibit great restraint — even walking down any one of over 20 aisles — with models such as these aggregated at the Las Vegas Convention Center. While some appear to be vintage motorbikes, they conceal advanced e-bike technology designed to make riding as easy as admiring them. Clearly, metalworking, powder-coating and even wood crafting still have a place in the mobile (as in, cycling) world.
